Fence: Not Required, a tie out or a 4-6 foot fence, either would work for her. She doesn't try to escape the physical boundary.

Solo or Siblings: Nikki would love to be a solo pup so she can soak up all the attention.

From the Foster: Nikki is a very, very sweet older gal, that has been through a tough time. She is learning a new life after being attacked repeatedly by another dog in her former residence. She arrived to rescue with a bruised hip and head, and puncture wounds on her neck, face, legs and chest. Understandably she is hesitant to trust that other dogs won't hurt her. We have muzzle trained and she loves her muzzle so much, more than any dog I have ever seen. I think it makes her feel safe that she doesn't have to defend herself. With the muzzle, she has learned to relax around our resident dog and can lay near him while we watch movies or work, but she's not fully trusting him quite yet.

Nikki has some easy requests: She would like to relax like a golden oldie should. She would love to be a single lady with a nice family of her own that is home a lot and will shower her with love. She likes a nice walk, but doesn't have huge demands for exercise. She loves to curl up on the couch or on a nice fluff dog bed by the fire. She loves belly rubs and yelling at you to make her dinner RIGHT NOW. She kennels nicely as long as it is in a central location. We discovered she does not enjoy being closed into a room by herself- She likes her people much to much for that. She sometimes will cry for a minute or two, or paw at the door if she feels you put her to bed too early, but settles down quickly. During the day she will often chose to kennel herself to take a nap. She thrives on a daily routine. She is fully house trained- not one accident since she arrived. She did well for bathing and nail trims, although she wants you to know the blower was super scary. She also rides like a dream in the car. She enjoys going to the coffee shop for a pup cup, pet stores to pick out her own treat or a trip to the hardware store (we just advocate for her and make sure she doesn't have to "meet any other canines). Anyone out there looking for a single lady just wanting some R&R and a peaceful life? If so, smash that application button below to connect with Nikki.
