Housebroken: He has done some marking in the house, so he is currently wearing a belly band to help with that. He is scheduled to be neutered on 03/04, and his foster parents think that will help with the marking. He is learning though and has improved during the time he's been in his foster home.
Energy Level: Moderate-High
Reaction to New People: Friendly
Kid Friendly: Yes, he previously lived with a toddler
Training: Knows sit, shake, lay down, usually comes when called, and pretty easily goes into his crate.
Grooming Needs: Rosco has a short husky coat which will require regular thorough brushing. You should aim for once a week or so, and more when he is blowing his coat, typically twice a year.
Fence: He would do fine with a fenced yard or a tie-out.
Solo or Siblings: Rosco previously lived with a cat, but loves having foster dog siblings to play with. He would be fine as an only dog or with siblings.
From the Foster: Rosco was surrendered to AAHMN because his family didn't have enough time to properly care for him with their young child and another on the way. He is a big boy, weighing around 65 pounds, but the breeder he originally came from swears he is all husky & no malamute. Rosco loves to lean his 65 lbs against you so you can give him lots of pets and back scratches. He is a sweet boy that melts your heart with those beautiful brown eyes, and never gets tired of your attention and love J.
Rosco is currently living with a fur sister and fur brother, and has played well with both of them. He has been very excited to have dog siblings to play with, but has also been respectful of when they've had enough play time. He would love to have a fur sibling in his forever home, but would also be great as an only dog. If you are looking for someone who will be your best friend and love you forever then this is your guy. This big lovebug will be such a great addition to your family and he can't wait to meet you!
