Large Dog Friendly: Yes

Small Dog Friendly: Unknown

Cat Friendly: Yes. Clyde currently lives with two cats. He would like to play with them, they are not interested in playing with him. He barks at them and tries to get them to play, but has never harmed them.

Crate Trained: Yes, he loves his crate!

Housebroken: Yes

Energy Level: Medium

Reaction to New People: We do not know Clyde's full backstory. He was dumped (along with Bonnie) at a local shelter. He is timid with people (especially men). His foster parents are working with him on this and are seeing improvement. Clyde will require a lot of patience and work to continue to build his confidence with people.

Kid Friendly: Unknown, however, based on how timid he is and his reaction to new people and situations, recommend only older children that would respect Clyde's boundaries.

Training: Clyde came to his foster parents with no training and extremely fearful of people. He knows his name and to go into his kennel when told. He is currently working with a trainer who specializes in fearful dogs. He is leash, kennel, and potty trained!

Grooming Needs: Clyde has a standard husky coat and would benefit from frequent thorough brushing. However, given his timid/fearful nature, his foster parents have limited brushing to an as-needed basis.

Fence: His foster family has a fence; Clyde is a high flight risk, therefore a fenced yard is a must for him.

Solo or Siblings: Clyde and Bonnie are a bonded pair. They will need to be adopted together. They would also benefit from having other confident dogs in the home to learn from.

From the Foster: Clyde is a really sweet boy without an aggressive bone in his body. We do not know Clyde's history other than he was dropped off at a local shelter along with his foster sister, Bonnie. They are partners in crime, and very much a bonded pair.

Clyde is timid around humans, and progress is slow. He is starting to relax and play around us. We are making progress on building his confidence and he is slowly starting to approach us! He loves playing with toys. Squeaky toys are his favorite, however, he is not terribly discriminating; if left out and available, a piece of paper or a shoe will also suffice! Clyde is a goofy boy. He likes to roll around on the floor and burrow under the dog beds...not sleep on them; roll around and burrow under them! Clyde's foster parents work from home, therefore, he is out and about all day. He is well behaved and does not get into trouble. Clyde is the more vocal of the two, he likes to sing and will bark when trying to play with his foster parents and/or the cats.

Clyde likes walks, but he is very serious about walking. Walking is meant to be done in a straight line, getting from start to finish as quickly as possible with none of that bouncing around and running back and forth like his foster-sister. Clyde does not like to be left alone and does not like spending time outside by himself. His foster parents think that may be a result of his learning he likes being indoors and not wanting to be left outside.

Clyde and his sister Bonnie will need a patient forever home that understands they will need a lot of time to adjust to their new home. They are both very sweet dogs who will provide endless love to the people they choose to open up to someday.

Adoption Fee: $250 ***Clyde is participating in our Home For The Holidays campaign. If his adoption is finalized by January 10th 2021 his adoption fee will be $150***
