About Balto-0226

Color: Black & Brown

Eye Color: Brown

Birthday: 11/01/2019

Approximate Weight: 30 lbs

Good With Dogs: Yes

Good With Cats: Yes - Balto lives in a foster home with cats. He is still curious about them but takes their corrections well. With continued training from both the cats and humans in his new home he could live with kitties in his forever home!

Crate Trained: Yes! He sleeps soundly at night in his plastic crate. He knows he eats and gets treats in his crate. Balto has never had an accident in his kennel either!

Housebroken: Soooo close! Balto has an occasional accident if he doesn't get outside often enough. These are usually due to human error and not his fault as he is still young. If he is outside he will go potty and knows he gets to come inside after 🙂

Energy Level: Low - Balto LOVES to snuggle. He will play with his foster siblings for short spurts of time, but then likes to take a nap for a few hours after each time. He's more content to chill than to play/run around though.

Good With Kids: Balto hasn't been around kids in his foster home yet. But due to his mild mannered personality we believe he would do well with kids who are respectful or dog boundaries.

Training: His foster home has been teaching him stay and has leash trained him! He is crate trained, knows his name and comes to it when called about 80% of the time, and is almost potty trained.

Comments: Hi i'm Balto! I know I don't look very "husky like" but I sure love the volunteers at Adopt a Husky MN. They have been taking such good care of me and they tell me so many stories about what my future will be like. I love all the huskies in my foster home, so if you already have huskies I would love to live with you! My favorite things to do are snuggle with my foster brothers (see pictures), cuddle with my foster grandpa, take naps, go to bed early, play for 15 minutes and then take another nap, chew on my toys, and carry shoes around the house. I'm almost potty trained and only have accidents if my foster family doesn't get me out often enough (I'm a puppy, what's wrong with these peeps?) I also sleep in my kennel at night without crying. Foster mama tried playing music at bedtime for me but that made me cry so now I sleep better after I convinced her to stop playing that awful classical music. AAHMN took DNA samples from some of us so in a few weeks we'll know what I'm mixed with. Maybe I'll be in my forever home in time to learn about my family history with my new people! Will you apply to adopt me today?

Adoption Fee: $400
