Large Dog Friendly: Yes

Small Dog Friendly: Unknown

Cat Friendly: Unknown

Crate Trained: Yes. She will whine a little if she knows you are home during the day and are leaving her in the crate otherwise she is great in her crate. She sleeps in her crate every night and is very quiet.

Housebroken: Yes

Energy Level: Low

Reaction to New People: Very timid and will shy away from new people. She will look to her foster mom for reassurance that other people are okay.

Kid Friendly: Unknown but probably very similar to the reaction to new people, she would do best in a home with calmer children 12 and older

Training: Nina has just started to trust her foster parents and is taking treats from their hands. She will come to her name and look at you if you say her name. Her foster family plan on trying to work on "sit" soon!

Grooming Needs: Nina has a standard husky coat which will require frequent thorough brushing. You should aim for at least once a week, and more when she is blowing her coat, typically twice a year. Nina does well with grooming if she is in a comfortable/safe spot in the house when you groom her otherwise she will try to run away from you.

Fence: Nina is a flight risk due to her past, therefore a fence will be required for her.

Solo or Siblings: Nina will need at least one other dog in her future home as she has been learning how to be a dog from her foster fur siblings. This is a requirement for her.

From the Foster: Nina is a very pretty girl and is very sweet. She came from a breeder release from Missouri. Her foster family gave her the name Nina, which means strong because she is a strong girl who will overcome her her fears. Due to her past she is very timid and scared of most things. We have been working with her a lot to show her it is okay to not be so scared and she has made some great progress! She loves her two fur-foster siblings and follows them everywhere. She watches everything they do and learns by following them, which makes it so important that she find a forever home with dogs for her to learn from and lean on. She has learned that chewing on bones is the greatest thing and has started to show interest in stuffed toys. She likes to collect the toys she finds in her safe spot on the couch. She loves to sit on the couch with her foster family. If she sees another dog playing with a toy she will likely steal it later in the day because that toy must be fun if the other dogs like it. She has started to show an interest in attention from her foster parents and no longer shakes while getting some love. She will look at you when you stop petting her like she is asking for more! She has started to come to her foster mom for some pets when she sees the other pups getting some love. She walks great on a leash and will not pull on the leash unless she gets spooked by something. She is usually two steps ahead of you and will keep checking every few steps by looking at you and will slow down if she gets too far ahead. Recently she has started to spin in circles while wagging her tail when we bring her food and she is waiting for us to open her kennel door (that is where she eats). Her foster foster family is thrilled to see her coming out of her shell and getting to know her personality. Apply to adopt Nina today to help her continue her progress!
