Kid Friendly: Yes, but his previous home had 3 children under the age of 3 that he would sometimes knock over while playing with his dog sister or roaming around the house. He would do best with bigger kids that he won't accidently hurt. Because of this Ollie should go to a home with kids 6 and older.
Training: Knows sit, shake, lay down, and will come when called (most of the time). He easily goes in his crate too!
Grooming Needs: Ollie has a standard husky coat which will require frequent thorough brushing. You should aim for at least once a week, and more when he is blowing his coat, typically twice a year.
Fence: He would do fine with a fenced yard or a tie-out.
Solo or Siblings: Ollie would do well as an only dog or with siblings that are his size or larger.
From the Foster: Ollie came to rescue after being surrendered by his owners because they weren't able to care for him and his fur sister properly with their 3 young children. We can tell he has been well-loved because he is such a sweet guy! He loves your attention and will take all the pets, belly rubs, and kisses you can give him. Ollie is a pretty relaxed dog, content to see what you're up to and then keep you company by hanging out nearby. Although Ollie is a mature, sophisticated 8-year-old, he looks like a pup with his big fluffy feet and bright blue eyes. He is on the shorter side for a husky, and that makes him the perfect size for snuggling in your lap!
Ollie is currently living with a fur sister and fur brother, and has gotten along well with both of them. He plays with them occasionally and likes to chase them around the yard, but he is also fine if they play by themselves. He loves going on walks and does very well on a leash, even when neighborhood dogs bark at him. His foster parents agree that Ollie is one of the best foster dogs they've taken care of! He will be such a great addition to your family, and he can't wait to meet you!
