Color: Black and white

Eye Color: Blue

Birthday: 11/22/19 estimated

Weight: 49 lbs

Large Dog Friendly: Yes, does well at dog park

Small Dog Friendly: Yes, no problems at all

Cat Friendly: No

Crate Trained: Unknown. We haven't needed to crate her as we are retired and rarely leave the house...we will try when we get a chance.

Housebroken: Yes, no accidents at all so far! She is also outside a lot.

Energy Level: Medium high to high. She's a youngster! Loves to play!

Reaction to New People: She loves everybody so far...does tend to jump up on people, working on that.

Kid Friendly: Yes, doesn't jump up on smaller kids so far.

Training: Will eventually sit for a treat, comes pretty well when called we are working on that. Walking on leash involves a lot of sniffing and some pulling, but she does really well passing other dogs - even dogs barking in the yards we walk past.

Grooming Needs: Shorter coat stays pretty nice! Likes to dig once in awhile so dirty paws, but they clean up fast.

Fence: Has not tried to go over fence but will jump up on it to look at squirrels nearby. She DOES know how to open fence latches and lever door handles so a lock is needed on fence latch and locking of outside doors. She's a smarty pants 🙂

Solo or Siblings: She has 3 foster siblings and she really enjoys their company! Would probably do best with another dog in the home

From the Foster: Ellie is such a sweetheart! She loves to play and run and is definitely a squirrel watcher. She loves her foster dad and when he leaves she does a whiny/crabby talking/howling combo thing that is precious and hilarious. She is a little awkward at times, not quite making it onto the bed or falling off the couch, and coming full speed running onto the deck and nearly sliding off of it! Plenty of energy, daily dog parks and playdates are needed. She likes her toys and chewie things but isn't aggressive at at guarding them. There have been a couple small spats at first but no problems lately - they've figured each other out. We are working on not being so nosy at the people's foods. She takes treats very gently and will eat ice for treats occassionally with our Echo. She is very good at bedtime, goes to bed when we do - sleeps on our family room couch with her puppy toy that she often uses for a pillow. Sometimes will sleep on the bed in the early morning. Doesn't wake you up too early to go potty or want to go outside in the middle of the night either. She is an absolute gem! Very sweet and lovable, loves pets and belly rubs!
