From the Foster: Zena had a rough start to life, but she is a determined little soul that shows us once again that dogs are the most resilient creatures on earth. She has lived her whole life in a puppy mill and is now learning the joys of a warm home and soft grass to lounge in. She is both crate trained and potty trained, and is good with people, dogs of all sizes, and cats! She is experiencing so many new things and learning how to be a house dog. She rides nicely in the car, and is learning the joys of a daily walk, although she still gets scared by loud things like lawnmowers. She has begun going on outings to pet friendly stores and cruises through the Starbucks drive up window and is slowly starting to figure out that these are wonderful trips! Zena would love to find a patient home that understands she will need both compassion as well as someone willing to push her out of her comfort zone as she continues to build confidence. She thrives on structure and positive reinforcement as she continues to blossom. She is quiet as a mouse, but just recently has been trying to find her voice that she hasn't used in years. She is slow to warm up to new people, as humans haven't been so nice to her in the past. If you can provide the love and support Zena needs to live her best life, smash that adoption application below.
