Energy Level: Very calm

Reaction to New People: Gracie is very scared of new people and things. She will need time to learn to trust and gain some confidence to be with new people and things.

Kid Friendly: Unknown

Training: Knows how to sit for treats. Is pretty good at coming when called.

Grooming Needs: She doesn't like to be dirty so keeping her clean should be easy. Will require regular brushing (weekly) and more frequently when blowing her coat.

Fence: Has experience with both a fence and tie-out at foster home. She likes being in the fenced area to go poop but does pee and is starting to poop on the tie out.

Solo or Siblings: She has been exposed to huskies and other pups in her foster home. She does well with most. She would love to have a dog pal to help her with her shyness around new people and social situations.

From the Foster: Gracie is a sweet and quiet girl looking for a long-term retirement home. Her aesthetic is definitely "young grandma," and if you're looking for a home-companion for knitting and tea she is your girl. Easy going and a bit shy, Gracie will need your patience as she explores life outside the puppy mill. She's still getting used to *always* going potty outside, but with appropriate supervision and use of her kennel she'll get the hang of it. Plan to teach her where to potty in her forever home, it's not something she'll know automatically. Gracie does an excellent job in the kennel during a work day, and is happy just spending time with her family otherwise.

Loud noises and big sudden movements give Gracie a little anxiety, and she does take a moment (or a day) to recover. Just as an introvert needs time by themselves to recover from social activities, Gracie needs a good nap and some reassuring snuggles after an adventure! She does very well in her kennel and feels safe when she has a spot that's hers, preferably with a blanket, or access to a kennel. Her favorite things seem to be going back inside after being outside, and snuggles on the floor (she won't go up on the furniture so far).

Gracie likes to have a confident dog to pal around with, but she'll probably do just fine as a single lady too. She does seem to bond more quickly and easily with male dogs and more passive females. She might not do best with a matriarch.

Gracie is kid and cat friendly! She will gently sniff and investigate cats, but doesn't seem interested in chasing them. She warms quickly to calmer children, if you have wild ones they might be too much for her! She will be a wonderful family dog once she's settled in and learns the schedule, Gracie thrives on a routine!

Giving Gracie the gift of a loving, quiet, patient home will be tremendously rewarding. She is so sweet, and it's really fun to watch her grow and gain confidence. Wait until you hear her tiniest woo-woo's when she's excited!!!
