About Natasha
Sex: Female
Color: Red & White
Eye Color: Blue
Birthday: 01/13/24 (estimated)
Weight: 35lbs
Large Dog Friendly: Not aggressive with other dogs. She is very submissive when it comes to other dogs and will stay by her person when meeting other dogs.
Small Dog Friendly: Untested but likely ok with small dogs as she was good with her puppies and cats.
Cat Friendly: Yes! She has not been aggressive nor has shown signs of aggression towards the cats. In fact, when meeting the foster’s cat, she did not even look to smell the cat.
Crate Trained: She will sleep in the crate throughout the night without any issues. When putting her in the crate for us to leave the house, she has broken out of the crate (without breaking the crate) and was found lying at the bottom of the stairs waiting for us to get home.
Housebroken: She is 99% housebroken.
Energy Level: High, energetic at times with zoomies. Zoomies happen after she potties and when one of us will get home. Will take time to snuggle and nap. She LOVES to snuggle.
Reaction to New People: This is not her first option, no aggression. She is not the type of dog that will jump all over new people or even want to go out of her way to meet them. There are some people she will come right up to and others that she will stay back to decide if she is ok with them or not.
Kid Friendly: The guess would be friendly, but has been untested. But she would probably have the same reaction as to “New People”. Babies, or even a toddler that someone is holding, she seems to be jealous of that, like she is the one who wants to be held. She almost knocked over a mom who was holding her 6 month old because we weren’t aware of that.
Training: Working on this. She knows sit, eat, stay, potty and “go outside”.
Grooming Needs: Brushing frequently as a Husky would need to be brushed. She has been having her nails trimmed. Fence: She would work great in a fenced in yard as she likes to run around.
Solo or Siblings: Either one. It has taken several weeks for her to warm up to our husky. She never got into a fight with our’s but she does get jealous when you pay attention to another. When that happens, Natasha will try to get into your face to get your attention. If she is solo, she will want to bond with her person which will make her the happiest dog!
From the Foster: She is a sweetheart. Very lovable and huggable. She doesn’t demand your attention all the time but will let you know when she wants to snuggle. She, at times, doesn’t know personal space boundaries while trying to get your attention…even if you are on your cell phone playing a game! Natasha is a quick learner when it comes to walking. She doesn’t pull and will want to know where you are. When she hears a barking dog, she will stop and look in the direction with concern. She has been walking with another Husky without any problems. She has been with another Husky since the end of March and has been doing well with that. She shares her toys and her favorite places to rest. When it comes to food dishes, Natasha knows which one is her’s and which ones (dog and 2 cats) are not. If she approaches them, she will get a “not yours” or “leave it” and she will back away. Natasha does not know what the doorbell means, plus she is not keen on meeting new people (she isn’t aggressive at all with new people, she just prefers her people). When someone is at the door, she doesn’t run, jumping all over at the door and then jumping at the person coming in. She will wait in an area where she can see who it is and then decide if she wants to come to say hi. As far as eating, she is on schedule being fed twice a day and she is very, very, very, food motivated.
Adoption Fee: $400
