From the Foster: Niko is a sweet older guy, he is currently being fostered with our sanctuary foster Morgan who is blind. He doesn't react when she bumps into him. However, neither like to share food. So he must be fed separately from any other animals. He is slow to trust, but loves to follow his foster mom all over the house. He has enjoyed dog parks in the previous home he was in. He rides well in the car once he is more comfortable with his people. He loves to talk and will tell you when wants something. He is very treat motivated, and not picky with his treats. He sleeps on the floor next to his foster mom and is very happy there at night. Niko loves tennis balls, and enjoys chasing them around the house. He did live with a couple cats in his previous home with no issues.

All dogs coming into Adopt a Husky Minnesota receive care tailored to their needs, including: Nose-to-tail exam with a partner veterinarian, Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Bordetella), 4DX test to check for heartworm or tick exposure, Fecal Analysis, Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative, Spay/Neuter prior to adoption, Microchip, and are evaluated for temperament and trainability.
