Cat Friendly: Yes - loves to play with the resident cats!

Crate Trained: Ayla has some separation anxiety but does okay when she’s with the resident dogs. Ayla sleeps through the night in her kennel.

Housebroken: Work in progress. Ayla is doing well with her potty training routine and continues to improve each day with consistency and patience.

Energy Level: Normal puppy energy. Ayla loves to play and run. After a good play time, she loves to cuddle and take a nap.

Reaction to New People: Ayla can be shy and cautious when meeting new people. She likes to take things at her own pace. Once she feels comfortable, her personality starts to shine.

Kid Friendly: Yes, with respectful children. Ayla needs time to warm up to them. After a few visits from our nieces she settled in with them.

Training: Knows sit, wait, and walks well on a leash. Recall is a work in progress.

Grooming Needs: Ayla has a woolly coat and needs frequent brushing.

Fence: Ayla is still a puppy and enjoys running and exploring. We are working on her recall so a fence or leash is a must.

Solo or Siblings: Siblings. Ayla enjoys having other dogs around and gains confidence from them.

From the Foster: Ayla has come so far in such a short time. Ayla came to us as a shy and neglected puppy. She’s small in terms of “normal" husky size, but her personality is full husky size (and then some).

She’s incredibly sweet, sassy, smart, and full of personality. She loves to ‘talk’ and will happily talk back to both us and the resident dogs throughout the day. She keeps us laughing with her little comments and husky opinions. Even with her playful side, she’s also a huge cuddle bug who loves curling up close once she feels safe. Ayla can be shy with new people at first and needs a family willing to let her adjust at her own pace, but watching her confidence grow has been really special. She’s learning routines quickly, loves following the other dogs around, and is discovering how fun it is to just be a puppy.
