Grooming needs: Typical husky coat that will require regular, thorough brushing. You should aim for at least once per week and more often when she is blowing her coat, about twice per year.

Solo or Siblings: Probably siblings - or will need lots of playdates, have not tried dog park yet due to injuries

From the Foster: Stormy is very sweet, very vocal young girl who has had to take it easy due to a broken leg. She is just hitting her stride on being able to play like she should have been! Her furever family will need to be dedicated to training with her, since she has been so focused on getting healthy up until now. She pulls on a leash so a harness is needed, but loves the walks and is good when meeting other dogs. When she wants something she will let you know it - a lot of husky talking going on here - some funny talking too! She can be mouthy and jumpy like most young pups can, but will get better with continued training. She loves her toys- ropeys and chewies!! We do not think she'd do well in an apartment or condo alone for hours - the neighbors would be wondering what kind of zoo you have going on in there. But with a family who is ready to give her the life she deserves, she will be a very fun friend. This girl is ready to find her home and deserves the best!

All dogs coming into Adopt a Husky Minnesota receive care tailored to their needs, including: Nose-to-tail exam with a partner veterinarian, Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella), 4DX test to check for heartworm or tick exposure, Fecal Analysis, Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative, Spay/Neuter prior to adoption, Microchip, and are evaluated for temperament and trainability.
