About Calliope-0331
Sex: Female
Color: White
Eye Color: Blue
Birthday: 1/8/21
Weight: 52 lbs.
Large Dog Friendly: Yes! She loves to play and will go, go and go.
Small Dog Friendly: Unknown
Cat Friendly: No
Crate Trained: Yes
Housebroken: Mostly
Energy Level: High
Reaction to New People: Friendly & sweet-loves. So friendly she likes to jump up and give kisses.
Kid Friendly: Yes, she LOVES kids. She is a big puppy and will jump, so caution should be used with smaller children. She may also jump to grab items out of children's (or adults) hands.
Training: Working on it. Knows sit, but that is it. Her new home will need to work with her on additional training.
Grooming Needs: Standard Husky coat that requires frequent brushing
Fence: Either, but she does not always poop on a leash so you may need to work with her on it. Without a fenced in yard a daily exercise plan will be needed. Calliope is HIGH energy.
Solo or Siblings: She LOVES to be with other dogs. She would likely do better in a home with another playful dog due to her social nature and energy level.
From the Foster: Hi there! Calliope here. I recently joined Adopt A Husky Minnesota and am looking forward to finding my forever family. I am a big puppy with lots of energy and would love to join you for endless adventures.
When I say endless, I mean endless. I love to go, go, go! Foster mom says I need a family that will help me use up all of my energy.
Long walks? Heck yes!
Hikes out and about? Absolutely!
Running around and playing in the backyard? Love it!
Going to places and meeting new people? Yes, please!
And if you have a dog for me to play with? Even better!
I love to play with other dogs. I do listen to other dogs' corrections, but I can be annoying to dogs who are not as playful as me. If you don't have another dog for me to play with, I'd love frequent playdates with other dogs.
Some other things to note: My prior family only taught me to sit, so I am told I have a lot of learning to do. I LOVE kids, but my foster parents say to use caution since I am so large and I love to jump up and give kisses.
Adoption Fee: $450
